Which One is Hardest for You Right Now?
After learning about biblical ways to hear God’s voice, it is tempting to ask one big question.
Am I doing all of these?
That question often leads to pressure instead of peace.
So let me invite you to something simpler.
Which one feels hardest for you right now?
- Is it slowing down long enough to read Scripture?
- Is it trusting God with the next step when you cannot see the outcome?
- Is it quieting your thoughts long enough to listen?
Discerning God’s voice is not about mastering a checklist. It is about noticing where He may be gently inviting you to grow.
God often works one small step at a time.
A simple reflection
Take a quiet moment and ask yourself this.
Where do I feel rushed, distracted, or unsure right now?
Often, that place reveals where God wants to meet us with clarity and peace.
If you are a parent, this is also a beautiful moment to reflect with your child. Ask them what feels confusing or hard. Their answers may open the door to meaningful conversation and prayer.
One practical step for this week
Choose just one practice to focus on this week.
Not seven. Just one.
- Maybe it is reading a single verse each morning.
- Maybe it is pausing before reacting and asking God for wisdom.
- Maybe it is thanking God out loud for something specific each day.
Faith grows through small acts of trust.
A short prayer
Pray about it!
A Word of Reassurance
God is not silent.
He is not distant.
And He is not frustrated with your questions.
He delights in guiding His children, even when they feel unsure or distracted. Learning to hear God’s voice is not about getting it right every time. It is about growing in trust and responding one step at a time.
As you practice listening with intention and patience, clarity will come. Not always instantly. But faithfully.
